About this policy

Sochnev is operated by Pasha Sochnev ("we," "us"). This policy covers the public informational pages at sochnev.com, including missing pages, and correspondence about this website. Separate apps and services have their own privacy notices.

Information and its use

Our hosting and security provider processes technical information, including IP addresses, requested URLs, browser and network information, and timestamps, to deliver the website, detect abuse, and maintain security. These pages do not require an account.

If you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, optional phone number, message, and submission time. We store the inquiry in Cloudflare D1 and use Cloudflare Email Sending to notify Pasha. If you email us directly, we receive your email address, message, and any information you include. We use this information to respond and manage the correspondence.

Missing pages load Rescued.click to record broken-link visits and redirect matching URLs. The script sends the full page URL (including query parameters and fragments), referring page when available, browser user-agent, and redirect details to Rescued.click. Requests also expose the visitor’s IP address to the service. Avoid including sensitive information in website URLs.

Browser storage and tracking

When a theme control is available and you select a theme, we store the preference in your browser. It is not sent to our servers and remains until changed or cleared by you or your browser. Our hosting provider may use cookies needed for security and service delivery.

We do not sell visitor or contact information or disclose it for targeted advertising. We do not embed advertising pixels, session replay, or cross-site analytics on these pages. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals do not change the essential hosting and security processing described above.

Service providers and other websites

We use hosting, security, and email providers to operate the website and handle correspondence. They process information needed to provide those services. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or protect rights and security.

Following a link or viewing embedded content sends a request to the destination service. Its privacy notice describes its processing. This includes separately provided Sochnev services and independently operated websites; their notices do not replace our responsibility for information we disclose.

Retention and security

We retain correspondence while needed to respond, maintain relevant business records, meet legal obligations, or resolve disputes. Technical records are retained according to their operational or security purpose and the relevant provider settings and practices. To limit form abuse, we keep short-lived hashed network identifiers; the form database does not store raw IP addresses.

We use HTTPS to protect information in transit. No internet service can guarantee complete security.

Your choices and requests

You can clear saved preferences through your browser settings and contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of information about you. We handle requests as required by applicable law and may need limited information to verify your identity or locate the relevant records. Legal and security exceptions may apply.

Policy updates

We publish updates here with a revised effective date and highlight material changes on this website. We provide additional notice or seek consent where required by law.
